FAQ

  • Q: What is Steel Circus?
Steel Circus is a free service for the metals industry where you can list items for sale as well as items you are looking to purchase (Wishlist). These Wishlist items show up as Products In Demand.
  • Q: Why do I have to enter a price when listing a new item?
To make the site truly useful, prices are necessary.
  • Q: What if someone doesn’t honor the price listed?
All prices are FOB seller. If a seller won't honor the quoted price, then please send an email to info@steelcircus.com. If we receive numerous complaints, a user will lose their listing privileges.
  • Q: What if I don’t see a code for an item that I want to list?
Just send us an email at info@steelcircus.com and we’ll try to add it.
  • Q: How do I buy an item for sale?
Click on the item you wish to buy, and send a message at the bottom to the user. They will get your message via email and can contact you.
  • Q: How am I paid for an item I wish to sell?
Think of Steel Circus as the Yellow Pages, where you use us to find what you want, but you will have to negotiate payment terms individually. Steel Circus does not get in the middle of individual transactions.
  • Q: How do I know if the material on this site is still available?
Material is listed for up to 30 days, at which point the Lister is prompted to either delete or renew the listing. This keeps the items "fresh".
  • Q: How do I see how many miles an item is from me?
Just login, and you'll see how far the mileage is to that item.
  • Q: I just want to see 2 x 2 x 1/4 angle that's for sale, how do I do that?
    Two different ways:
    1. Go down to Browse By Category, cursor over Steel, and then Angles, and then cursor down to 2 x 2 x 1/4
    2. Type in your Zip Code under Search By Zip Code, choose your mileage, type in 2 x 2 x ¼ and click Find Now
  • Q: I have an item that's 11' 6" long. How do I type that in, since it won’t allow me to type in inches?
Just type in 11.5 feet, which is the same as 11' 6" inches
